Job Title:  Account Manager

Department:  Sales                                                         Reports to:  Chief Operations Officer


The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong and meaningful business relationships with his or her assigned account base while managing the full sales lifecycle with their customers.  The role for this position is to work as a consultant and develop a thorough understanding of customers’ business and technology needs, while farming active clients by up-selling products and services.  This position acts as a liaison between TSI and the client; ensuring expectations are met with complete satisfaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve revenue growth objectives with current customer base by up selling services and solutions
  • Work with active customers to develop a deep understanding of their product and service needs
  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities for current customer
  • Possess strong acumen of TSI products and services to meet customer expectations
  • Manage requests for service and products details from customers and provide timely responses
  • Act as a liaison between billing, customer service and tech support to expedite and resolve client issues ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations throughout the lifecycle of the account
  • Develop and organize onsite presentations showcasing TSI services and products to customers
  • Work closely with product specialist/sales engineer and management to develop solution recommendations, proposals and contracts
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of TSI ‘s order to implementation process
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of ConnectWise and become proficient with application
  • Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities in ConnectWise
  • Renew and maintain all of customer base term agreements
  • Attend bi-weekly sales meetings to review funnel and productivity
  • Meet with and evaluate customer base on quarterly basis
  • Willingness to travel and visit clients in the field 25-50%


Required Skills/Competencies:  

  • 3-5 years account management experience
  • Outside sales experience with selling Managed IT services, products and IT consulting preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue expectations
  • Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
  • High energy and self-motivated with strong communication and negotiation skills both written and oral
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly in a fast moving environment
  • Strong PC skills, including expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM.
  • Solid business acumen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or Communications preferred
